Goblin Tteokbokki (떡볶이)

K-DramaGoblin (도깨비)·Ji Eun-tak street food scene

Why this food?

Spicy chewy rice cakes from the beloved K-drama Goblin. Made with easy-to-find substitutes for gochujang.

🇰🇷 K-Culture Tip

떡볶이 has a split identity: the spicy red version (born after the Korean War using gochujang) and the royal court version that's centuries older with no heat at all. Korea has an estimated 50,000 tteokbokki vendors — it's the country's most popular street food and the defining after-school snack of every Korean childhood.
