TWICE Nayeon's Donkkasu Pork Cutlet (돈까스)

K-PopTWICE Nayeon·Nayeon's self-declared all-time favorite comfort food — she's mentioned donkkasu as her go-to meal in multiple interviews

Why this food?

TWICE Nayeon's ultimate comfort food — the Korean-style pork cutlet, breaded thick and fried golden, topped with a sweet-savory sauce. Different from Japanese tonkatsu: Korean donkkasu has its own sauce and style.

🇰🇷 K-Culture Tip

돈까스 was introduced to Korea via Japan in the early 20th century and evolved into something distinctly Korean — thicker cutlets, sweeter sauce, served with shredded cabbage and rice. TWICE Nayeon has mentioned donkkasu as her favorite comfort food multiple times. 경양식 (Western-Korean diner) donkkasu, served in a warm plate with that specific sauce, is one of the most nostalgic foods in Korean culture.
